Bringing State of Youth closer to Chapters

The global State of Youth network is strengthened by its Country Representatives. These young leaders connect local communities to the international movement and play a key role in expanding youth participation in their own countries.

"As Country Representative, I look forward to strengthening chapters across Liberia, fostering collaboration, and creating more opportunities for young people to lead and make meaningful impact."

Layee, Country Representative Liberia

State of Youth keeps growing. By 2026, young people have already launched more than 800 Chapters around the world. Every day, more young changemakers join the movement, ready to take action in their communities and stand up for the issues they care about.

Growth matters. But sustainable growth matters even more.

That’s why we launched the State of Youth Country Representatives. This initiative brings State of Youth closer to young people on the ground and strengthens support where it matters most.

Country Representatives help connect local Chapters with the global State of Youth team. They create space for collaboration, share opportunities, and ensure that the experiences and ideas of young people help shape the future of the movement.

Because meaningful change looks different in every country. Local traditions, languages and realities matter. By strengthening local connections, we strengthen the movement as a whole.

What do our Country Representatives do?

  • Connect Chapter Leaders and young changemakers within their country.
  • Build a stronger sense of community, belonging and collaboration.
  • Help create relevant opportunities for young people to learn, lead and take action.
  • Share local insights and experiences with the global team, helping State of Youth stay responsive and relevant.

As the movement grows, so does the need for stronger connections between young leaders around the world. Country Representatives help make those connections possible. When young people support one another, ideas travel further, communities grow stronger, and change becomes impossible to ignore.
