KidsRights

KidsRights, founded in 2003 by Marc Dullaert, is an international children’s rights organization that strives for a world where all children have access to their rights and are enabled to realize the great potential they carry within them. KidsRights sees children als changemakers with the power to move the world, and facilitates in voicing their opinions and taking action in order to bring about change. KidsRights supports children by commanding global attention for the realization of children’s rights and acts as a catalyst to ignite change, together with children and youth.

A world where children have a say, help make decisions and get involved in matters that affect them. We believe that children can move the world by bringing positive change bottom up in their community and beyond. We believe that by listening to them, give them a voice and empowering them, the world becomes a better place for the current generation and generation to come

Our history

KidsRights was founded in 2003 by Marc Dullaert and his wife Inge Ikink, driven by a conviction that remains central today: children and young people can change the world. When given the space to speak, decide and take action, they make children’s rights stronger and the world a better place.

Since our founding, we have been amplifying the voices of young changemakers and empowering them by facilitating their actions worldwide, through our global platforms: the International Children’s Peace Prize, the KidsRights Index and the State of Youth
