Since 2024, we have been building the first digital and fully representative youth panel in the Netherlands: State of Youth NL, the megaphone of the new generation. Young people in our panel choose the topics that shape our research agenda. State of Youth NL then conducts representative research, collecting and highlighting the voices of young people. We do not only listen to their opinions, we also make sure that politicians, governments and social organizations act on them. The voice of young people matters, and their ideas deserve real influence

State of Youth NL Preferenda: our research reports
State of Youth Netherlands has created the first and only representative youth panel in the Netherlands. Young people decide which issues matter most and what research should focus on. Every study is based on the voices of thousands of young people, creating a reliable picture of their experiences, concerns and ideas.
We make sure these voices do not disappear into a report. We bring them back to young people and put them on the agenda of policymakers, politicians and civil society organisations, helping turn youth perspectives into real action.
